Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is located in Columbus, Ohio. It has about nine hundred animals of various species with some endangered. Known as one of the best zoos in America, there are many exhibits to explore including its African Journey which features several African animals including the cheetah, the elephants, gorillas, and the lions.

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium has a very rich history in Columbus, Ohio. When it opened in May 1927 and was originally called 'Zoo in Innisfree' with two swans and one monkey. It is now considered to be an iconic landmark. There was even a Columbus Zoo and Aquarium documentary that was broadcast on Columbus channel eight. The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is now an internationally recognized zoo with over nine hundred animals of various species around the globe.

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium has been said to be very educational for children as well as a fun place to visit with kids making it a wonderful place to visit for both adults and children.

Some of the zoo's animals include grizzly bears, giraffes, tigers, and a jaguar. The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium also has a Safari Ride which allows people to experience an attraction similar to going on an African Safari ride.
